TEAM WITH NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING
Industry Veteran, Michael Tennefoss, to Lead Company’s Product
Marketing Efforts

Meru Networks, the global innovation leader in wireless

that it has continued to strengthen its executive management
team with the addition of Michael Tennefoss to the position of
Vice President of Marketing.
In his new role, Mr. Tennefoss will have responsibility for
Meru’s product management, technical marketing, support of the
company’s strategic partnerships, and management of the
company’s product definition, strategy and roadmaps.
Mr. Tennefoss brings 20+ years of experience in marketing
management to Meru Networks. Prior to joining Meru, Mr.
Tennefoss spent fourteen years with Echelon Corporation, a
publicly-traded provider of control automation networks. As Vice
President of Marketing for Echelon, Mr. Tennefoss managed the
company’s product strategy and roadmaps, channel marketing
programs, and support and training initiatives. Before his
tenure with Echelon, Mr. Tennefoss was Director of Marketing for
the Stellar Systems division of Wackenhut Corporation, where he
directed the development, marketing and support of both wired
and wireless security systems, data encryption devices, portable
event recorders and video capture systems. Prior to this, he
held marketing management positions with Electronics Technology
Projects and Vindicator Corp., a division of Honeywell.

Mr. Tennefoss holds a Masters degree from the University of
Minnesota and Bachelors degrees from the University of
California at Davis. He also holds several product and design
patents for military, consumer and automation devices, is the
author of numerous industry papers and is a frequent speaker at
industry, technical and research conferences.
