FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
(Menlo Park, CA. July 25, 2005) LimeLife, a Northern California-based mobile content publisher, announced today that it has raised over $5 million in its Series A round. There were four Venture Capital firms in the round: Rustic Canyon Partners, U.S. Venture Partners, i-Hatch Ventures, and Monitor Ventures.

“We're thrilled with these investors because they combine a deep understanding of interactive software, the wireless industry, and consumer media,” said LimeLife CEO and founder Kristin Asleson McDonnell. “These investors also have terrific operating backgrounds in growing technology and media companies with corporations like Microsoft, WiderThan, Vindigo, HearMe, Bertelsmann and IDEO.”

“Delivering content and applications exclusively for women via the use of mobile technologies is a clear differentiator for LimeLife, and positions the company to lead in this growing and influential market,” said Jon Staenberg, a Rustic Canyon partner and LimeLife Board Member. “The intersection of content and wireless applications is an area that Rustic Canyon sees flourishing in the years to come. LimeLife can be an anchor to the industry.”

The funds raised will be used for working capital to define the women's mobile content category and create entertainment and lifestyle mobile applications for women.

“LimeLife is addressing an underserved segment of mobile phone users, who have already demonstrated a propensity to buy data services for entertainment and lifestyle applications,” adds Paul Matteucci of U.S. Venture Partners, also a LimeLife Board member.

“The LimeLife team brings together a unique mix of consumer software, interactive media, and mobile application backgrounds that will allow them to lead the development of this emerging segment of mobile services,” observes Brad Farkas of i-Hatch Ventures, who remains on the LimeLife Board from its initial seed round.

LimeLife, Inc. publishes mobile phone games and lifestyle applications that transform the way women enjoy and manage their lives.
