INTERACTIVE VIDEO TECHNOLOGIES ANNOUNCES MPTV DIGITAL SIGNAGE MODULE

Los Angeles, Calif. – November 8, 2005 – Interactive Video Technologies (IVT), the leader in the production, management and distribution of live and on-demand webcasting, announced today its newest MediaPlatform module, MPTV (MediaPlatform Television). Utilizing IVT’s powerful MediaPlatform software, MPTV enables the creation, management, deployment and measurement of live and on-demand rich media content from television-style video to PowerPoint to Flash to advanced interactive Webcasts. MPTV is ideal for organizations seeking
to deploy a digital signage application at their corporate, manufacturing and branch sites.

This powerful combination of MediaPlatform and CDN’s, can be used to serve content through MPTV and is the optional module that gives MediaPlatform the ability to create and manage “channels” of scheduled content that can be viewed on the plasma screens at full screen and high resolution. Scheduled content can include playlists of content with set durations or at set times. Additionally MPTV includes the ability to preempt a channel with “urgent” content, messages or live video.

MPTV works with any of IVT’s content distribution network (CDN) partners including IBM, Cisco, Akamai, Kontiki and others. These network infrastructure systems that are used to distribute the content close to the “edge” maximize the end-user experience while minimizing network traffic.

How MPTV Digital Signage Works:
Today many organizations are seeking to deploy a digital signage application at their corporate, manufacturing and branch sites. Each site connects to a plasma screen to a networked PC.  Content is then produced externally and is then delivered to the network. MPTV will then
schedule and distribute the reformatted content to the plasma screens. This will be done via a Play List, which can be remotely changed at will.

To measure the impact on the network users can perform the following actions using MPTV:
♣ analyze the impact of exposing content to end users
♣ validate the platform as viable (scalability, potential, flexibility to changes)
♣ validate the transmission solution, the content integrity
♣ evaluate the solution’s capacity to extraordinary events, the best screen solution sizes and
the associated costs
♣ deploy a viable roll out schedule
