HYDROPOINT DIRECTOR OF CONSERVATION ALLIANCES TOM ASH TO SPEAK AT CLCA’S LANDSCAPE INDUSTRY SHOW Petaluma, Calif., February 2, 2005 – HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., the leading provider of smart irrigation management solutions, today announced that Tom Ash, Director of Conservation Alliances, will present at the Landscape Industry Show, February 17, 2005, at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Hosted by the California Landscape Contractors Association, the annual conference is the largest green industry event in the western U.S. More than 8,000 industry professionals will gather to learn about innovations in landscape management. Tom Ash will focus on the ability of evapotranspiration (ET)-based controllers to address water supply and runoff issues for the building and landscape industries in his seminar, “Water Issues and Smart Controllers,” on Thursday, February 17, from 10 AM to 11:30 AM. Mr. Ash, a practicing horticulturist and former water agency conservation coordinator, will cite several multi-year agency studies of technologies that have been proven to meet business and environmental objectives for conservation as well as cost and risk reduction. Attendees will learn about new programs involving builders and water agencies that combine California-friendly landscapes and smart ET controller technology to achieve water use efficiency. Attendees will also receive practical instruction in implementing effective water management techniques. Following the seminar, Mr. Ash will be available to answer questions about how HydroPoint’s WeatherTRAK ET solutions automate accurate irrigation schedules according to plant needs and changing local weather. By eliminating wasteful over-watering, which threatens both landscape and hardscape investments, and ensuring that plants receive precisely the right amount of water at the right time, WeatherTRAK improves plant health and customer satisfaction while it reduces water bills and harmful runoff. To encourage the use of smart controllers by accelerating return on investment for contractors and end users, water districts throughout the west are launching smart controller rebate programs, based on WeatherTRAK’s performance in agency studies. To schedule an appointment for a WeatherTRAK demonstration at the Landscape Industry Show or via an online meeting, call Sharon Connelly at 800.362.8774, ext. 121. ABOUT HYDROPOINT DATA SYSTEMS, INC.
