HYDROPOINT HIRES JOHN MARMORATO AS SOUTHEAST PRODUCT SPECIALIST Petaluma, Calif., August 24, 2004 – HydroPoint Data Systems, Inc., the leading provider of smart irrigation management solutions, today announced the hiring of John Marmorato as Product Specialist for the southeastern U.S., including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. In this newly created position, John will be a key player in HydroPoint’s strategy to provide residential and commercial landscape irrigation management solutions to customers across the country. John’s primary responsibilities will be developing and expanding HydroPoint’s irrigation distributor and contractor networks and establishing partnerships with city governments, builders, homeowner associations and water agencies. “We are very excited to welcome John to HydroPoint,” said HydroPoint Vice President of Sales Dale Hansen. “His established relationships with landscape professionals and water agencies will allow him to quickly increase the base of WeatherTRAK customers in the southeast. John’s product knowledge makes him an exceptional resource for HydroPoint employees and partners.” John has fourteen years of sales management experience in the green industry. Before joining HydroPoint, he was Territory Manager for Smith Turf and Irrigation Co., where he more than doubled sales volume in his territory. His outstanding performance earned him the “Toro National Blazer” award. John’s hands-on experience in the industry spans from system installation and training to sales and marketing. A frequent speaker at industry events, John is widely recognized as an authority on irrigation products and practices.
